How To Do Laundry Using Powdered Detergent
Afraid of the soap residue a powder can leave on your clothes?
No worries!
Here's how you use it so it won't leave soap residue:
Instead of loading your clothes in first, then the soap, then filling it,
Set your wash cycle first, turn it on and let it start filling with a little water.
Even if you are doing a cold wash, turn the water to Hot or Warm first,
measure out your powdered detergent in the cup
and throw the soap directly into the stream of warm or hot water.
Let it run on warm or hot just for a minute until all the
soap powder is dissolved.
Then turn it to cold or whatever setting you wish,
load in your clothes while it's still filling.
You don't have to fill it with water all the way before loading
your clothes; Just enough water to dissolve the soap.
Then load as normal, let it fill and close the lid.
Voila! No soap residue!
And you're doing the planet a HUGE favor!
And remember to toss that empty cardboard box into the recycle bin!
